Find Your Perfect Ring Size

A well-fitting ring should feel secure without being difficult to remove. Use this guide to estimate your size before choosing your Gordon Max ring. For the most reliable result, have your finger measured by a jewellery professional.

How to Measure Your Ring Size

  1. Measure the finger. Use a flexible, non-stretch measuring tape around the finger where the ring will sit. If using a strip of paper, mark where it overlaps, then measure the length against a ruler in millimetres.
  2. Check the fit. The measurement should be snug but comfortable, and the ring must be able to pass over the knuckle.
  3. Measure again. Repeat a couple of times and use the most consistent result. Measure the exact finger and hand you intend to wear the ring on.

Tip: Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are usually warmer and may be slightly larger. Avoid measuring when your hands are unusually cold or swollen.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

  • Wider bands: A wider ring can feel tighter than a slim band. If you are between sizes, ask us whether sizing up is appropriate for your chosen design.
  • Knuckles: The ring should pass over the knuckle with gentle resistance, then sit comfortably at the base of the finger.
  • Temperature: Cold hands can measure smaller; heat and activity may cause fingers to swell.
  • Gift purchases: If possible, borrow a ring that fits the correct finger and have its inner diameter measured by a jeweller. Fingers on the left and right hands may differ.
